Solution of the digital divide

If there are causes that create the digital divide, then there are solutions that can solve the problem. Because, every sigle problem has at least one solution. There was the project that create for minimize the digital divide in the world. The project started in 1998 at the Alon school in Mate Yehuda, Israel. In this program, children ages 9-13 tutor seniors at computer and Internet skills, and together, the young teachers and their old learners write an electronic book describing a chapter in the personal history of the senior tutee. Also many developed countries in the world assist financially the countries which are not developed. Many volunteers from many other countries go to Africa and they help local people who leaves there.

The Global Digital Divide

This diagram displays that development of ICT of each countries in the world. As we can see, Europe, North America, East Asia already have the most developed ICT. But most of the countries in Africa have no technology of information technology.
This diagram is also good example of the digital divide and Production Possibility Frontier (PPF). Because, developed countries can product benefit goods but less developed countries have no technology to produce goods. Developed countries will improve their technique, discover new techiques and produce better and more goods in short distance of the time. By the way less countries' technology would be stay steel at the same place as they have, they would not be able to develop their knowledge of technique.

According to PPF model

The digital divide also influence the Production Possibility Frontier (PPF) of countries. Better technology will able to product more and better production. Also, they can make faster then before they improve their ICT.

What is digital divide?

There are huge global problems that mankind needs to solve it and the topic that I want to tell about is digital divide which is one of them. Why digital divide is bid deal in the world and our society? Right now there is a huge gab between the countries that ability of access to Information Communication Technology (ICT). Why is this necessary? Every country in the world has different quality like technology and there are differences between each countries and that is the reason why they have international trading. Countries are growing while trading information and techniques however, there are countries that not able to trade their knowledge because they do not have technology that can trade. This shows why they less developed. Therefore, they could not catch up and the gab is growing bigger and bigger.
